The South African Magical Society can offer you a unique show to assist with your fund raising.

We have performed many well received shows in the past for a variety of organizations: from charities to corporates.

Each show is tailor made for your specific needs, for example a children's event, a family event or a corporate function.

So, how does it work ?

The first thing is to tell us about your event e.g. is it an all day event or a dinner party etc ?

The next very important point is when and where your function is going to happen? Although we have a fair number of members who do a variety of magic ranging from mind-reading, comedy magic and children's magic they are busy people who get many private bookings. The longer the lead in time to your event, the more likely you are to securing our services. We also tend to favour Durban and its immediate surrounds for any shows that we do.

Our most popular show is a “ Baffling Buffet ”. This can be set up on the “Barnyard” format where your guests bring their own food but you provide a bar service. Or, you could provide a meal for your guests.

We provide magical stage acts in a show that can be performed in two halves : before and after the meal. We also sometimes offer close-up magic right at the table where guests are seated.

Although SAMS is a non-profit organization, we need to cover our running costs e.g our sound system, lighting and other props. Income also enables us to maintain and upgrade our library.

In the past the profit for the show was usually shared on a fifty fifty basis between SAMS and its client. However, the Society is flexible and is willing to negotiate with its clients.
